3. Self-Hosting Responsibilities

You Own Your Infrastructure

As self-hosted software, you are responsible for:

Installing and configuring the software

Server security and maintenance

Regular backups of your financial data

Network security and access controls

Keeping dependencies updated

All hosting and operational costs

4. License to Use

Moneypile grants you the right to:

Deploy Moneypile on your personal or business infrastructure

Use it for managing your personal or business finances

Create multiple budgets and accounts

Connect to Actual Budget sync servers

Export your data at any time

5. Your Data, Your Control

Complete Data Ownership

All financial data stays on your servers

We have no access to your budgets or transactions

You can export everything at any time

Your data works with Actual Budget™

Delete the software and keep your data

Moneypile is a tool to help track your finances, but you are solely responsible for the accuracy of your financial records, tax compliance, and financial decisions.

7. Third-Party Services

Moneypile may integrate with optional third-party services:

SimpleFIN Bank Sync (Optional)

• You connect directly with SimpleFIN
• Review SimpleFIN's terms and privacy policy
• We are not responsible for SimpleFIN's services

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moneypile shall NOT be liable for:

Any financial losses or incorrect calculations

Data loss or corruption

Service interruptions or downtime

Security breaches on your infrastructure

Any indirect or consequential damages

9. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

✓ Respect the intellectual property rights
✓ Not redistribute or resell the software
✓ Not reverse engineer the software

10. Updates and Changes

We may release updates to Moneypile that include:

• Bug fixes and security patches
• New features and improvements
• Updates to maintain Actual Budget compatibility

You are responsible for updating your installation. We may also update these Terms, with changes effective upon posting.

11. Termination

You may stop using Moneypile at any time. Simply remove it from your server and keep your data. We may terminate your license if you violate these Terms.
